High-Capacity Heat Pump For Cold Climate Applications

Unlike traditional heat pumps that have limited heating capacities at low-ambient temperatures, Daikin's inverter compressor technology overcomes this challenge to maintain high heating capacity, delivering up to 75% more heat on the coldest days.

This reduces reliance on large, often inefficient electric heaters to generate supplemental heat, resulting in efficient heat transfer that lowers energy use and operating costs.

Rebel Applied also offers supplemental heat at 25% increments to reduce Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA).

When used in Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems, conventional air source heat pumps are generally ineffective at ambient air temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rebel Applied overcomes this setback by utilizing energy recovery wheels or electric heaters to pre-heat the air before it passes through the unit’s heating coil—extending the heat pump’s capacity to operate at lower ambient temperatures.
